Archie Lee McKnight, Sr., age 67, of Crockett passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 in Palestine. He was born July 19, 1952 in Lovelady to parents, W.D. McKnight and Lorene McKnight. Archie worked as a certified welder and retired from Vulcraft after 25 years of service before moving onto his true love, ranching. He enjoyed ranch rodeos with Billy Crowson and was a jack of all trades. Archie was baptized at an early age at Mt. Olive Church in Lovelady and had attended New Pleasant Grove Baptist Church for many years.

Archie is survived by his mother, Lorene McKnight of Lovelady; children, Archie Lee McKnight, Jr. and wife, Kem of Huntsville, ShaRhonda Johnson and husband, Kevin of Crockett, Tamina Woolbright and husband, Billy of Crockett, Eric McKnight and wife, Jonitra of Crockett; grandchildren, Demarcus McKnight of Crockett, Jasmine McKnight of Crockett, Archie Lee McKnight III of Crockett, Arjameshia McKnight of Crockett, Trever Hodge of Huntsville, Kevonna Johnson of Crockett, Cameron Johnson of Oak Harbor, WA, Brandon Chester of Dallas, Trenton Johnson of Houston, Auseana McKnight of Crockett, Ariana Woolbright of Crockett, Aubriana Woolbright of Crockett, Detravion McKnight of Crockett, Jahkeim McKnight of Crockett, Jacques McKnight of Crockett; great-grandchildren, Maddison McKnight, Nevaeh McKnight, Greyson McCullough, Isabelle Johnson, Teghan Johnson, Brooklyn Chester; brothers and sisters, Dennis McKnight and wife, Caroll of Huntsville, Marilyn Johnson and husband, Kenneth of Lovelady, Ennis McKnight and wife, Carolyn of Crockett, Mary McKnight of Lovelady, Wilbert McKnight and wife, Martha of Crockett, Lavetta McKnight of Lovelady, Nicolas McKnight of Lovelady; sisters-in-law, Ethel Richardson, Mae Cobbs; brother-in-law, Charlie Cobbs; special friends, Clay Kenley and wife, Sharon, Travis Kenley, Nathan McKnight; numerous nieces and nephews and other loving relatives. He is preceded in death by his father, W.D. McKnight; wife, Hazel McKnight; brother, Eddie Boyd McKnight.

Funeral services for Archie Lee McKnight, Sr. will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at St. Luke’s Baptist Church. Interment to follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery. Family will receive friends for visitation Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
