Betty Joyce Vest McLaughlin, age 60, of Crockett passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at her residence. She was born December 25, 1956 in Crockett to parents, Willard Burton Vest and Gwen LaVonne Johnson Vest.

She is survived by her son, Billy Harrington and wife, Brittany of Groveton; three grandchildren, Connor Harrington, Corbin Harrington and Adalyn Harrington of Groveton; father, Burton Vest; sisters, Bertie Bowdoin and husband, Jackie of Crockett, Carrie Powell of Lovelady, Shirley Wilson of Kennard, LaVonne Webb of Crockett, and Loretta Ellis of Crockett; brothers, Willard Vest and wife, Margaret of Splendora and Billy Vest of Houston; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gwen Vest; brothers, Frank Vest and Punkin Willis; and brother-in-law, Larry Ellis.

Funeral services for Betty Joyce Vest McLaughlin will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dee Queen officiating. Interment will follow in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Friday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
