Charles “Jim” Clark

Jim Clark fixed picCharles “Jim” Clark, age 75, of Crockett passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 in the Huntsville Memorial Hospital.  Jim was born June 10, 1945 in Houston to parents, Jesse Clair Clark and Elizabeth Betty Tilling Clark. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Navy. Jim worked as a Houston Police Officer for 20 years with the HPD and after moving to Crockett, he worked as a deputy with the Houston County Sheriff Office. He was a member of the Houston Police Union and a member of the VFW. Jim was a member of the North Loop Baptist Church.

Jim is survived by his wife of 23 years, Marie Clark of Crockett; children, David Clark and wife, Sarah of LaPorte, Jordan Clark and wife, Casey of San Antonio, Stacy Clark and Tim of Deer Park, Jamey Bowman and wife, Zeena of Alaska, Joey Bowman of Crockett, Jay Bowman and wife, Vickie of Trinity; grandchildren, Tyler Dupuy, Amber Dupuy, Deacon Clark, Sutton Clark, Cody Bowman and Raquel, Courtlynn Gilliam and husband, Justin, Valerie Cary and husband, Logan, Xalyn Corder and husband, Dale, Kiley Bowman, Gebriel Bowman, Bryan Bowman, Ashley Dobbs, Brittney Dobbs; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Schiffer of Temple, Charlene McGowan and Barbara of Arlington, Cheryl Asumendi of Austin; a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Clair and Betty Clark.

Private family graveside service for Charles “Jim” Clark will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 in the Clark Family Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Lowery officiating.

  6. Jimmy is my cousin. He was such a good person. When he was Houston Police officer, he would patrol every night by our grandmothers house for her safety. We use to get togther every Easter. I moved to Ky and havent seen him for awhile. But kept in touch with family. You will be mnissed Jimmy, We love you and glad the pain is gone. be with your Mom and Dad now.
