Cynthia Coon OBIT PicCynthia Aline Coon, age 57, of Lovelady passed away Monday, June 22, 2020 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston. She was born October 4, 1962 in Crockett to parents, Herman Herald Cook and Louella Hammons Cook. Cindy accepted Christ in October of 1982, at the age of 20 and remained a wonderful Christian lady showing that in her love for everyone. She was a beloved member of the County Line Church of Christ.

Cindy is survived by husband of 40 years, David Coon of Lovelady; daughter, Sarah Rogers and husband, Casey of Norman, OK; son, David “Buddy” Coon, II and wife, Bridgette of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Halli Rogers, Matthias Coon, Lydia Coon, Nessa Coon, Amaris Coon, Annaliese Coon; mother, Louella Cook of Crockett; sisters, Lesia Riggins and husband, Tim of Normangee, Gail Cook of Crockett; brother, Scott Cook of Crockett; mother-in-law, Freida Coon of Crockett; sister-in-law, Darlene Caldwell and husband, Gene of Crockett. She is preceded in death by her father, H.H. “Booger” Cook; father-in-law, Elwin “Buddy” Coon.

Funeral services for Cynthia Aline Coon will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2020 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Elder Allen Lee and Brooke Perkins officiating. Visitation Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home. Interment to follow at the Creek Cemetery with Alex Molina officiating.

  6. Cindy and I had several interesting conversations at the gym. Ranging from roadkill(when and when not to eat it) to the time she had to “walk out’ after she fell from her deerstand. What I knew of her was that she was a good and decent person that loved her family dearly. We have lost another good and sweet soul.
