  6. I had the pleasure of teaching with Mr. Craven at Crockett High School in the early 2000s. After I tried to break up a pretty vicious girl fight, Mr. Craven took this still green teacher aside and told me that was not my job to put my safety at risk and that they were paying the principals the big bucks to break up fights. He said he just didn’t want to see me get hurt. He was just a cool guy and didn’t let anything faze him. He would do anything to help anyone and once, when he found out I ran over a stump with my brand new push lawn mower, he insisted I bring it to his house so could fix it for me. Mr. Craven made a huge impact on students and fellow teachers, alike. His family is in my thoughts at this time.

  7. Cousin Dan is etched in my memory as “cool” personified! Long, lean and tall with that particial smile he had, he gave me my first ride on a motorcycle which I’ll never forget. Thank you and bless you Dan and your family.
