Doris Bonin Grigg, 77, of Bryan passed away Friday, March 16, 2018 at the Hospice Brazos Valley Facility. Doris was born June 9, 1940 in Latexo to Walter and Lillie Turner Patton, the youngest of fifteen children. She lost her father when she was seven months old and her mother at the age of seven, but despite her difficult childhood, she grew into a strong, determined, very happy woman. Doris married Loran “Buddy” Bonin in 1956 and they were married for 50 years before his death in 2006. She was a Wife, a Mom, a Nana, an Aunt, a Friend, and a Caretaker to so many. Doris never met a stranger and was the person that you called when in need of prayer, her love for people and Christ was undeniable. She enjoyed fishing, flowers, and gardening. She loved her church and God’s word, we are confident that she would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

  1. What a precious lady I met a few short years ago when Doris came to Ephesus Church. I admired her positive spirit so. I lost touch when she moved back to Bryan. My heart is sad to hear this news. What a comfort for her family to know Doris is forever safe with her Lord and Saviour. God bless all.
