Eva Nell Elliott

Eva Nell Elliott, was born on October 12, 1943 on the George Washington Elliott Farm in Creek, Texas. She passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019 after a long and courageous battle with metastatic lung cancer. Eva and her siblings were raised by their loving Uncle and Aunt, Dan and Clara Standley, in the Houston Heights where Eva attended John H. Reagan Senior High School. Eva received her Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from Tyler Junior College and was a dedicated and faithful employee of The Crockett Clinic for over 20 years as the Laboratory Supervisor.

Eva is survived by her children Jamie Elliott Davis, Rodney Kenneth Shuffler and wife Linda, and Dena Jo Scott; grandchildren, Anthony LaPaglia, Jon Shuffler and wife, Chelsea, Anna Shuffler and fiancé, Clayton Tohill and Jake Scott; great- granddaughters Dezirae LaPaglia and Skylar LaPaglia; brothers, Cecil Elliott and wife, Carol, Jesse Elliott; her twin sister, Iva Belle Elliott; special nephew, Dan Hines and her loving dog, Winnie. Eva is also survived by numerous extended family members and countless friends.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents Dan and Clara Standley; sister, Jeanette Melton; sister-in-law, JoeAnn Elliott and her loving dog, Papi.

Eva has donated her body to the Texas A & M University Medical Research Department.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Georgia Camp Baptist Church with Rev. Ottis Byers  officiating. Visitation with family will begin at 12 noon in the Georgia Camp Church Fellowship Hall.

  4. This news is so sad. Eva was an excellent, loyal Lab Manager for Crockett Clinic for many years. Her expertise in Hematology, X-Ray and EKG helped diagnose and treat thousands of patients over the years for our Clinic as well as the Hospital when needed. She was a beautiful being with encouraging words for everyone, every day. May God comfort your family, and you rest easy, Little Eva.


  5. I attended Junior high and high school with Eva and always thought so highly of her and Iva both. Eva was such a friendly and kind person and always brought a smile to anyone. Prayers for her family because I know she will be so missed.
