Anita Gail Hall, age 60, of Grapeland passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at her residence. She was born April 5, 1957 in Athens, Texas to parents, Herman McLendon and Grace Josephine Abbott McLendon. She was a cowgirl who loved her horses and her dogs and was a member of the Davy Crockett Riders Club.

She is survived by her husband of 23 years, Jeff Hall of Grapeland; sons, Keith McGuire of Alabama, Brad McGuire of Grapeland, Kevin McGuire of Athens; grandchildren, Dalton McGuire and Canyon McGuire; mother, Josie McLendon of Wills Point; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of very special friends; beloved pets, Molly, Bibi and Sambo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herman McLendon; sister, Wanda McBride.

Funeral services for Anita Gail Hall will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Goshen Cemetery, Eustace, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corps Scholarship Fund, https://www.mcsf.org.

  1. We had lots of fun together through the years. Gail gave me my first pair of chaps. She always had a smile on her face. She will be missed. Prayers going out to the family. RIP Gail.
