Geneva Ann Sowell Ford, age 66, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at her residence in Porter Springs. Geneva was born August 12, 1952 in Waco, Texas to parents, Oran Angrus Sowell and Anita Lantrip Sowell. She travelled and lived in numerous locations around the world with her husband’s work, including Dubai, Republic of Georgia, and Turkey. Geneva never attended university until she was 42 and decided to obtain an Accounting degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude with that degree 6 years later. Geneva started an embroidery business, Sew What? in Crockett and was an accomplished artist. She was a devout Christian her whole life accepting Christ as Savior at the age of 5 and remained very strong in her faith. A devoted wife, loving mother, and incredible grandmother being the center of her family.

Geneva is survived by her husband of 43 years, Erin Ford of Porter Springs; daughters, Tara Etheredge and husband, Luke II of Llano, TX, Leigh Erin Siber and husband, Kirk of Lufkin, TX, April Cereijo and husband, Jorge of Irvine, CA; grandchildren, Luke Etheredge III, Grace Etheredge, Margaret Siber, Abigail Siber, Nathaniel Siber, Olivia Siber, Gabriel Siber, Jorge Cereijo; sisters, Diana Selby and husband, Mike of Alvin, Donna Welborn and husband, Ronny of Cameron; brothers, Charlie Sowell and wife, Emmy of Corsicana, Gary Sowell of Corsicana. She is preceded in death by her father, Oran Sowell; mother, Anita Lantrip Sowell.

Funeral services for Geneva Ann Sowell Ford will be held Sunday, October 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Church with Dr. Tim Allen and Rev. Leon Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in the Porter Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends for visitation Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gathering Ministry c/o First Christian Church, 200 Gordon Dr., Crockett, TX  75835**(see below) or Houston County Cancer Support Group, c/o Pioneer Bank, 1265 E.
