Hesta Faye Bobbitt, age 91, of Crockett, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Whitehall Nursing Center. She was born on November 8, 1928 in Kennard to parents, Lee Shaw and Hettie Sheffield Shaw. Hesta Fay was well known as hardworking, grooming dogs for over 30 years and ranching with her husband Merle.  She also worked many hours in her pecan business, Granny’s Nut House.

Hesta is survived by son, Charles Bobbitt of  Crockett and daughter-in-law, Robin of Mont Alba; daughter-in-law, Susan Barrett of Houston County Lake; grandson, Brad Bobbitt and wife, Krista of Carrollton, great-grandchildren, Liam and Bailee Bobbitt of Carrollton; grandson, Matt Bobbitt and wife, Cassie of Bryan; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Kate, Liv, and Nora Bobbitt of Bryan; grandson, Chance Chapman and wife, Angela of Tyler; nephew and nieces, Larry and Stacy Lucas of Diboll, Pam Lucas of Bullard; numerous other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by husband, Merle Bobbitt; son, Billy Merle Bobbitt; parents, Lee and Hettie Shaw; sister, Exa Lee Shaw Lucas; nephew, Frank Lee “Butch” Lucas.

Funeral services for Hesta Faye Bobbitt will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Dr. Tim Allen officiating. Interment to follow at the Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. prior to service.

Pallbearers will be Brad Bobbitt, Matt Bobbitt, Chance Chapman, Larry Lucas, James Ashley, Butch Arnold, and Gary Fitch.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Michelle Lynn Holsey Foundation, P.O. Box 652 Crockett, TX 75835 or a charity of your choice.

    I was saddened to hear of the loss of your sweet mom! She always made me feel SO GOOD when I ran into her! She was such a JOY! You can see she was STILL such a JOY from her picture! She was so beautiful!

    I know you will miss her, but may you have great JOY in your memories and your grief be short. The Lord God of the Bible will bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you and give you His Shalom.
