  1. May I extend my condolences on the passing of your mother, Irene. I have many memories of our friendship, even remembering the first time that I met her and how we “clicked” and became friends. I always enjoyed our time at Latexo School. She was a great lady.

  2. I am sorry for the families loss. I would be there but other prior commits. She will be missed

  3. You are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of loss. Mrs. Powell was the library aide at Latexo High School when I first came to work there. Later she was the NovaNet aide, and housed in the classroom next to mine. I considered her to be a friend. She was tough but fair, and would do anything for you. She has continued to support Latexo High School, the community, and the students through the years. Heaven gained a precious lady.

  4. Kathy and family. I’m sorry for your loss. Prayers for You all.

She was always one of my favorite people EVER at that school. I always enjoyed seeing her at the basketball games supporting her grandkids and every other student there. I will sure miss seeing her and will never forget you Mrs. Powell!!! Thank you for being a great influence on me, whether you ever knew it or not, and giving me someone to look up to growing up. I’ll miss you!
