Jean Pugh

Jean Pugh pic 2Jean Robinson Pugh, 88, passed away May 2, 2020, at her home in Porter Springs. She was born March 6, 1932, in Crockett to parents Dick and Evie Lee Corbitt Robinson.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, spending most of her life as a homemaker. She helped graft trees for Burl Russell at his nursery in Austonio and later became director of First Baptist Church daycare in Crockett, where she retired after 18 years. She was a long-time member of Porter Springs Baptist Church, serving as Sunday School teacher and Treasurer for many years.

Jean was an avid seamstress and gardener and enjoyed traveling with her husband, sister, and brother-in-law. But she most enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children Pam Pugh, Dusty Pugh and wife, Marsha, Liz Currie and husband, Button; grandchildren, Jason Driskell and wife, Brandi, Cody Pugh and wife, Emily, Matt Currie and wife, Sarah, Casey Coppersmith and husband, Frank, Courtney Beasley and husband, Derek, Crystal Clancy and husband, Ryan; great-grandchildren, Josh, Sean, John Clay, Ty, Eli, Morgan, Camryn, and FynnLee; great-great-grandchildren, Paxton and Madyson; sisters, Bonnie Roberts and Carol Murray; and sister-in-law, Linda Robinson.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, D.L., parents Dick and Evie Lee Robinson, and brother Buddy Robinson.

Graveside funeral services for Jean Robinson Pugh will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2020 in the Evergreen Memorial Park with Bro. Jason Driskell officiating.

    I was so sorry to hear of the passing of your precious Mom. I found out by accident and really wish I could send you a big hug.
