  11. My sincerest condolences. I pray that God hold this family and this town in his arms during this difficult time.

  12. Cindy, Frank and I extend our heart and prayers to you and your family. Your loss is unimaginable. Jerry was was a teacher, coach and friend to thousands of children in the Grapeland School District for almost 40 years. He was a “Sandie” through and through. That’s an abundance of unconditional love and caring for others. So many of us and our children can’t recall a school or athletic memory that doesn’t include “Coach Richards.” He was calm, cool, soft spoken and always encouraging. His presence and his distinctive calm will be within all of us that knew him as a friend or our children’s Coach. You shared his life with so many families that were not your own and we pray that you feel that love returned to you and yours in the days ahead. Our love and prayers for your one and only, Jerry.

  13. We were so very saddened to hear of Jerry’s Homegoing. We know what you are going through, and our heart aches for you. Once in a while, a coach like Jerry comes along that touches the lives of children and inspires them. Jerry was a kind, patient, and caring coach, and he will always be remembered with love and respect by the students he taught and coached at GHS, and by those of us who worked with him and knew him. Praying God gives you all peace and strength at this time as He carries you through the days ahead. John 14:1-3
