Jim Henry Reynolds

Jim Henry Reynolds, age 94, of Lufkin, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in CHI-Memorial Hospital Lufkin. He was born March 24, 1924 in Lovelady to parents, R.T. Reynolds and Carrie Kennedy Reynolds. Jim served during WWII as a Private in the United States Army.

He is survived by his sister, Anita Magee of Pearland; nieces, Wanda Dawson and husband, Tommy of Raisin, Linda Rosco of Pearland; nephews, John Hayman and wife, Linda of Edna, Kenneth Hayman and wife, Cathey of Nacogdoches; numerous other loving relatives and friends. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, R.T. and Carrie Reynolds; sisters, Sybil Stephens, Dimple Stubblefield.

Graveside service will be held for Jim Henry Reynolds on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.in the Pennington Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Hayman officiating.

  1. When I was growing up I rode my horse to Reynolds Store on Sat afternoons. Mr RT & Jim put a bucket of water out front for my horse, I got an RC Cola out of a cooler. I grew up spoiled by these 2. I never did have to pay for a drink. My childhood in Pennington was an exceptional one because of these store owners & others in Pennington. June Anderson Currie.
