Julia Virginia Moore English, aka “Tidy”, age 101, of Crockett, passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2019 in the Houston County Nursing Home. She was born November 26, 1917 in Crockett to parents, Tom Smoky Moore and Kathleen Allee Moore. Virginia was a homemaker that loved beautiful sunrises, sunsets, flowers and gardening. She taught Sunday school and bible study for years while attending Kennard First Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Oswald being her favorite pastor.

Virginia is survived by her niece, Patti Rains and husband, Duwaine of Crockett; nephew, Frank Ross and wife, Sheila of Crockett; great-nieces and nephews, Jeremy Rains, Jason Rains and wife, Candace, Jessica Murff and husband, Heath, Jordan Ross, Johnathan Ross and wife, Isabel; great-great-nieces and nephews, Devin Rains, Alyssa Rains, Colton Rains, Coy Rains, Kyle Murff, Karson Murff, Savannah Ross, Everett Ross; two special cousins, Carolyn Susie King, Bonnie M. Ramsay. She is preceded in death by her husband, Truman English; parents, Tom and Kathleen Allee Moore; sister, Patsy Moore Mize.   1. She taught me in Sunday School. Was my favorite. She was a beautiful lady, inside and out. My sympathy to her family.
