Linda Skalicky Moore

Linda Skalicky picLinda Sue Skalicky Moore, age 75, of Crockett passed away Friday, April 17, 2020 at her residence. Linda was born March 21, 1945 in Houston to parents, Joe Skalicky, Sr. and Rose Cermak Skalicky. She was a 1963 graduate of Crockett High and attended the Flat Prairie Baptist Church. For many years, she worked for Houston County Senior Citizen Center delivering meal to the homebound which she dearly loved. Linda was very kind, outgoing and loved her family and friends.

Linda is survived by daughter, Christie Moore Bewley of Corsicana; grandchildren, Bryan David Moore of Latexo, Shalane Suzanne Blaylock of Lovelady, Joshua James Kennedy of Lovelady; step-grandchildren, Samuel Bewley of Corsicana, Kalen Bewley of Corsicana; great-grandchildren, Adrian David Moore, Aryn Bryan Moore, Bentley Moore, Letty Kennedy, James Kennedy; brothers, Joe Skalicky and wife, Nancy of Latexo, Larry Skalicky and wife, Karen of Latexo; numerous other loving relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by husband, David Moore in 2015; parents, Joe and Rose Skalicky; and sister-in-law, Judy Skalicky.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2020 in the Center Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made toward Linda’s funeral expenses.

  7. This is such sad news. I was blessed to see Linda in action when I was editor of the Courier. She allowed me to ride along and meet those on her meal route. She was loved and appreciated by all, and her clients were friends. They knew Linda loved them. She knew their stories. She knew them. May God bless you as He welcomes you to His heavenly kingdom, because you were truly one of His angels on earth. Comforting prayers to all the family during this difficult time.
