Margaret Jordan Parker, age 90, of Lovelady, passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at Legacy at Town Creek in Palestine. She was born September 4, 1928 in Volga to parents, W.R. Jordan and Mamie Wylie Jordan. Margaret was the postmaster at Weldon retiring after 25 years of service. She was an active member of Weldon Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for more than 30 years, and a lifetime member of the Weldon Civic Club.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Sharon Freeman of Lovelady, Paula Waller and husband, Larry of Teague; grandchildren, Lacy and Andrea Freeman of Buffalo, Doug and Tammy Freeman of Dayton, Kelly and Heather Waller of Teague, Wendy Puccio of Belton; great-grandchildren, Leslie Freeman of Trinity, Logan Freeman of Waco, Natalie Freeman of College Station, Lane Freeman of Buffalo, Lily Stone of Belton, Sadie Stone of Belton, Hayes Waller of Teague, Addison Freeman of Dayton, Brandi Chance and husband, Aaron of Colorado, Tiffany Pontoja and husband, Daniel of Baytown Jacob Jones of Baytown; great-great-grandchild, Oliver Jones of Baytown; sisters, Laura Jo Herridge of Onalaska, Lillian Driskell of Lovelady. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Parker; parents, W.R. Jordan and Mamie Wylie Jordan; son-in-law, Bill Freeman; grandson-in-law, Eric Puccio; sisters, Eloise Westmoreland, Ruth McDougald, Lucille Adams, Frank Alice Gardner, Doris Monk, Shirley Parker; brothers, Jack Jordan, Dick Jordan.

Funeral services for Margaret Jordan Parker will be held Monday, April 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Weldon Baptist Church with Rev. C.F. Hazelwood officiating. Interment to follow in the Weldon Cemetery. Family will receive friends for visitation Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Weldon Cemetery Association, 5928 C.R. 3555, Lovelady, TX 75851.

  1. Sharon and Paula your Mom lived a wonderful life and touched many. Miss Margaret was an angel on earth and an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be missed but find comfort in knowing she is watching over the ones she loved. Hugs.
