Mary Ann Stokes, age 85, of Crockett passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 at her residence. Mary graduated from Centerville High School in 1950. She and her husband, Roy moved to Alvin in 1966 and lived there until 2002 when they made Crockett their home. Mary was a loving wife and mother and loved her family dearly. She was also a member of the Central Baptist Church

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Roy C. Stokes of Crockett; daughter, Carroll Standley and husband, Walter of Lovelady; son, Doug Stokes and wife, Pam of Ennis; grandson, Stephen Durr and wife, Kelley of Roanoke; granddaughters, Kristina Smith and husband, T.J. of Granbury, Kimberly Baker and husband, Kevin of Ennis, Kelsie Black and husband, Evan of Granbury; great-grandsons, Jase Baker, Carson Baker, Wyatt Durr and Beckham Smith; great-granddaughters, Kenzie and Kenadee Black; brother, Ralph Price of Flynn; sister-in-law, Lorraine Price of Bryan; brothers-in-law, Robert Stokes and wife, Betty of Austin, Walt Stokes and wife, Sonia of Lubbock; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by parents, William Frank Price and Mamie Reed Price; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glenn Price and Noveline Price, William “Bill” Price;  Lera Price; sister, Frances Dupree; mother-in-law, Mildred Holz; father-in-law, Glyn Stokes and wife, Bennie .

Funeral services for Mary Ann Stokes will be held Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home with Rev. John Goss officiating. Interment to follow in the Centerville Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday evening from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.callawayallee.com

  2. Carroll, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom. It is never easy at any age. I will never forget our adventure to Alaska and her and your dad running through the airport! Love and blessings to you all.
