Michael “Eddie” Kendrick, Jr.

Eddie Kendrick 2Michael “Eddie” Kendrick, Jr., age 50, of Crockett, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020. He was born December 7, 1969 in Lufkin to parents, Michael Edwin Kendrick, Sr. and Joyce Dyches Kendrick. Eddie had worked as a CNC machinist and programmer for Quantex Instruments for over 20 years. He also worked in the maintenance department at Enchanted Pines and was well known for having the ability to build anything.

Eddie is survived by wife, Karen Kendrick of Crockett; daughters, Heather Newsom and Michael Wilson of Katy, Lauren Newsom and fiancé, Ryan Robertson of Palestine, Erin Kendrick of Crockett; grandchildren, Canon and Hudson Wilson of Katy, Scarlett and Jameson Robertson of Palestine; mother, Joyce Bradshaw of Crockett; sister, Christi Short and husband, Clay of Crockett; niece, Chaice Short of Huntsville; nephew, Mason Short of Houston; mother-in-law, Beverly Manning and husband, Craig of Centerville; sister-in-law, Audra Sherman of Centerville; brother-in-law, Bobby Sherman of Centerville; numerous other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael E. “Butch” Kendrick, Sr.; second-father, Win Bradshaw and father-in-law, Bob Sherman.

Funeral services for Michael “Eddie” Kendrick, Jr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2020 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Darryl Bennett officiating. Interment to follow at the Sherman Cemetery in Leon County. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.

  5. I am sorry for your loss. I didn’t know Eddie, but knew Butch. I am also friends with Reginald and Gayle.
