Mildred Young Churchill, age 92, of Crockett, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at her residence. Mildred was born November 15, 1927 in Alto to parents, James E. Palmer and Verna Peggy Ann Tullis Palmer. She worked for many years for Collins Ford Tractor as a bookkeeper and was a member of the Central Baptist Church.

Mildred is survived by son, Dennis Young and wife, Beth of Flagler Beach, FL; daughter, Jan Lowery of Crockett; grandchildren, Gwynne Fincher of Pasadena, Jason Horton and wife, Jermaine of Grapeland, Jerrud Horton and wife, Melissa of Grapeland, Tanya Lynn of Crosby, Natasha Bienek and husband, Brett of Dayton, Rachel Snope and husband, Dan of Gig Harbor, WA; great-grandchildren, Britni, Alex, Vivian, Vincent, Calleigh, Macie Jae, Kolbi, Nathan, Sarah, Avery Mae, Carson; special childhood friend, Maxine Spates of Houston; numerous other relatives.

She is preceded in death by husband, Gene Churchill; parents, James and Verna Palmer; sisters, Mary Elizabeth Parker, Joan Gardner; brother, James Palmer.

Graveside funeral services for Mildred Young Churchill will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2020 at the Parker Cemetery with Brother Brad Turlington. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. at Parker Cemetery.

She was such a beautiful woman and Lew and I both had the pleasure of being around her a few times after her great granddaughter Calleigh was born. Always so loved by y’all and at 92 seems to have lived a great life. She made us great sweet treats at Christmas which I will always remember. RIP in Heaven love , Meresa and Lew Fincher
