Teresa OwensTeresa Lynn Owens, age 44, of Crockett, passed away May 13, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston. She was born April 14, 1976 in Crockett to parents, Willie Owens, Jr. and Robbie Jean Anthony Owens. Teresa was their second child and was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church at an early age and later joined St. Luke’s Baptist Church. She grew up in Crockett and attended Crockett High School, where she graduated in 1994. Teresa worked at Winfield Nursing Center, Whitehall Nursing Center, was a caretaker for Ciara Dennis for 11 years and Veda for some years. She was the CEO of Tee’s Décor, event and party planning.

Left to celebrate her life and cherish her memories are her father, Willie Owens, Jr. and wife, Cynthia of Crockett; daughter, Sortorie Goffney of Houston; sister, Lisa White of Beaumont; brothers, Broderick Anthony and wife, Cuvonica of Crockett, Willie Owens, III of Crockett; nieces, Brocterria Anthony, Quabrojana Anthony, TeAirean Anthony, Brashawanna Anthony all of Crockett; great-nephew, Armon Anthony; uncles, Eugene Patton of Crockett, Dan Owens of Crockett, George Owens of Crockett, Dennis Anthony of Crockett, Billie Mack of Tyler, Nick Anthony of Houston; aunties, Alma Faye Owens, Jessie Owens, Carla Anthony, Wilma Owens, Barbara Anthony, Nette Anthony all of Crockett, Freddie Harris of Houston; special cousins, Sue Hollie, Kamerica Scott, Sarah Davis, Trey Anderson,  Jessica James, Lemesa Warfield, Fredrick Scott, Jr. and Jerome Owens. Teresa was preceded in death by her mother, Robbie Jean Anthony; grandparents, Willie Owens, Sr. and Jessie Mae Owens, Robert Anthony and Mittie James; uncles, Donathon James, Jerry Owens, Rodney Lee Neel, Robert Anthony, Jr; aunties, Bammer Oviedo, Dorothy Scott.

Funeral services for Teresa Lynn Owens will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2020 in the Callaway-Allee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Albert Moses officiating. Interment to follow at the Stanton Thomas Cemetery. Visitation Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.
