Willy Land, age 79, of Crockett passed away Monday, February 17, 2020 at HCA Houston Healthcare in Conroe. He was born August 16, 1940 in Wesley Chapel to parents, Marvin Creston Land and Francis Florene Thomas Land. Willy worked for Dolly Madison Furniture factory as a furniture maker for many years. He was a member of Good Shepherd Fellowship Church.

Willy is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patty” Madsen Land of Crockett; daughter, Carla Land of Porter Springs; son, Joseph Land and wife, Tina of New Waverly; granddaughters, Marissa Ann Hankins of Florida, Karli Land of Porter Springs, Ashley Land of New Waverly; grandsons, Jonathan Hensley and wife, Yuliana of New Waverly, Matthew Hensley of Huntsville; great-granddaughters, Fatima and Elizabeth Hensley; brothers and sisters, Harold Land and wife, Shirley of Wesley Chapel, Rhoma Duffy and husband, Joe of Florida, Charlie Land and wife, Gina of The Woodlands, Tommy Land and wife, Tresea of Pennington, Michael Land and wife, Marsha of Wesley Chapel, Carolyn Minter and husband, Randy of Wesley Chapel; brother-in-law, Warren Madsen of Conroe; numerous nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Frances Land; brothers, Wayne Land, Dale Land; sisters, Janice Land, Linda Birdwell.

Funeral services for Willy Land will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Good Shepherd Fellowship Church. Interment to follow at Porter Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at Callaway-Allee Funeral Home.

  1. Patty, I am so sorry to hear about Willy. I know he is in a much better place…but you are going to miss him so much. I have so many sweet memories of him from childhood….Janice and I gave him a fit…Linda would join us sometimes too…but he always laughed…Time goes by so fast…..we cannot love each other enough…seems like yesterday that we were in Easter Land’s tank, in a boat that leaked…I still miss Janice. If I can do anything for you, I am just a phone call away…I promised Miss Frances many years ago, I would pray for her children…I think of all yall often. Love Carol Anne
